2009 650i

Well I have owned the bike for 1 year now and time for a review. I trail ride, use it for moose hunting,(meaning mudding and trail breaking/trailering hunting camp gear, moose pulling) and snow plowing. It starts well in cold temps (-20C). I believe this is due to the primer pump, a good choke system and I believe it has heated carbs. I do have to stand closeby sometimes to work the throttle once in a while until it warms up enough to run on its own but not always. Power is more than enough for my purposes. It wheelies in both high and low gear, hits just over 110km/h and pushes an amazing amount of snow. The ride is great and it climbs very well. I actually experienced a confidence boost when hill climbing compared to the 600 grizzly that I also own. I think they are the best looking quad on the market due to the open air-scoop front end design and it has kept its good looks even after tipping it on its side at speed. Now for some weaknesses I have found. If you are stuck and off the bike and you are trying to push yourself out by yourself, you can not reach the throttle and the div lock at the same time. I do not like the plastic foot boards and have broken one already on a beaver cut stick. Other than these minor complaints I have to say I love the bike and the price in my neck-of-the-woods was much less than a 650 can am, 550 griz or 700 king quad.

Upgrades/Accessories:  dynotec cdi, 27inch bear claw tires with aluminum rims, kawi snowplow, windshield, moose box, and 2500lbs warn winch with synthetic rope.
